Collections column "Site Code"
SCCM 2007 SP2 1 Primary, 6 Secondary Sites Approx. 800 clients New to SCCM 2007, so bear with the ignorace :-P I've noticed that in any of the Collections (example, All Systems), the "Site Code" column does not reflect where the actual site is for that client if it is at a secondary site. Instead, if the client is installed, it shows the Primary Site code of "001" For example, our 118 site (secondary, Atlanta GA), has a number of PC's where the client is installed, but shows the "Site Code" column as 001 (which is our Primary Site in Cleveland, OH). However, if the client is not installed (for whatever reason), the code may sometimes show correctly, as 118. I've checked by boundries, and discoveries by AD, and from what I can tell, things are in order. I believe that it discovers the PC, and knows that it is in 118, then when the client gets installed, it displays as 001. From what I understand here, the client is reporting to the Primary Site, and not the secondary site, for gathering data for software metering and reporting purposes. At all my Secondary sites, I do have them set as a Management point. So if I understand correctly, the clients at secondary sites, should respond to the Secondary site server, then that server should send it's data to the Primary Site. Should the Site Code refelct what site the client is located at? Is the client not reporting to the respective server correctly? How can I get the client to populate with the correct site code?

Thanks! I'm guessing that I can create a subcollection, and write a querry, that would seperate the physical locations of our workataions... either by OU, IP address, or other characteristic(s). I've played around with the queries for some inventory, and I should be fine with this. Thanks again for all the help!
